Although Águeda is not a big city it has a lot of charm and many annual events, for example each September there is Festa do Leitão. Quote from PortugueseCooking "Leitão is one of Portugal’s most praised gastronomic delicacies. Leitão is the Portuguese word for a suckling pig—normally a piglet in the first weeks. This wood oven spit-roasted piglet is absolutely a must-eat if you are travelling in Portugal."
This year they celebrate the 22nd edition of the event September 9th-13th, besides good food there are concerts every night.
Also you may enjoy the umbrella streets, as they are up until September 30th.



What´s to come in September?
Weather in September:
Daily temperatures at 25 Celsius in average, do not forget the sunscreens. The colors of the nature are starting to change and leaves make nice rustling noise under the wheels.

Riders have also the possibility to take part of the competitions in the region.

MTBcamps congratulates Greete Steinburg! Best female cyclist of the year (Estonia)! We know how hard you worked in the winter ;) Well deserved!
